Threat of war

Today while mankind is subject to threat of war, especially  by deadly methods which science is perfecting, there is only one way to secure good of  humanity and that is to have only one armed force for the entire world. There might be local police force with minor weapons so as to cope with unarmed civilians, but all the deadly weapons of war must be concentrated in the hands of one single authority. When this has been achieved, there will no longer be any serious danger of wars unless there be a civil war like situation between different  units of the international force. There will need to be control over education, in the sense that no country must be allowed in its schools to teach predatory nationalism. The teaching of history should lay more stress upon the progress of man than upon national victories or defeats in contests with other nations. The books  used in the teaching of history should be such as have been sanctioned by the international authority and have been certified to be free from nationalistic falsehoods.

आज जब संपूर्ण मनुष्य जाति युद्ध के भय से पीड़ित है विशेषकर उन घातक तकनीकों से जिन्हें विज्ञान पूर्णता तक ले जा रहा है तो मनुष्यता का हित सुनिश्चित करने का एकमात्र उपाय यह है कि समस्त विश्व के लिए एक ही सशस्त्र बल हो। स्थानीय पुलिस बल भी हो सकता है जिसके पास निहत्थे नागरिकों से निपटने के लिए साधारण हथियार हो परंतु युद्ध में प्रयोग होने वाले समस्त घातक हथियार एक ही प्राधिकरण के हाथों में केंद्रित होने चाहिए। ऐसा हो जाने पर उस समय तक गंभीर युद्धों का कोई खतरा नहीं रह जाएगा जब तक की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बल के विभिन्न वर्गों के बीच गृह युद्ध की सी स्थिति न बन जाए। शिक्षा पर भी नियंत्रण की आवश्यकता होगी विशेषकर इन अर्थों में की किसी भी देश को अपने विद्यालयों में लूटमार वाली राष्ट्रवादी शिक्षा देने की अनुमति न दी जाए। इतिहास का शिक्षण दूसरे राष्ट्र के साथ हुए संघर्षों में प्राप्त विजय अथवा पराजय पर आधारित होने की अपेक्षा मनुष्य की प्रगति पर बल देने वाला होना चाहिए। इतिहास के शिक्षण में प्रयुक्त पुस्तकें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्राधिकरण द्वारा अनुमोदित होनी चाहिए तथा उनका मिथ्या वर्णन से मुक्त होना प्रमाणित होना चाहिए।
